This Friday and Saturday at Fun Express we’ve got some great events that are sure to set the tempo for a brand new month of fantastic gaming! To the card game fan, nothing is more exciting then a brand new set release, and that’s exactly what we’ve got coming to start things off in May. But we don’t have just one new release coming….
No. Not just one.
That’s right; we’ve got TWO new release events starting May off! I did say this weekend was going to set the tempo for the month. I wasn’t kidding.
So the breakdown of events this Friday/Saturday May 1-2nd…
Friday:
FNM returns with a vengeance this Friday being our first Standard/T2 event that allows players to utilize ultra new Alara Reborn cards in their decklists. Come Friday and show the others how much you’ve busted the new cards. With the months new promo card Wren’s Run Vanquisher being passed out to top finishers, it should be exciting!
Saturday:
There’s nothing like the smell of fresh booster packs in the morning.
And while the Yu-Gi-Oh! Raging Battle Sneak Preview Event, in all its sealed deck glory, might not necessarily be in the morning, there will most certainly be the smell of freshly cracked booster packs in the air! Starting at 12:00pm, duelists will have the enjoyable opportunity to build a deck using (5) new Yu-Gi-Oh! Raging Battle boosters packs, and then introduce the concoction by smashing their opponents with it in the pursuit of fame, glory, and the all important promotional swag!
Entry is only $20 for five boosters and as the latest expansion for Yu-Gi-Oh! CCG, this is not an event to miss. We expect a good amount of our player base to be in attendance, so be there!
Next up is the official Magic:TG Alara Reborn Release Celebration!
Last week was the Alara Reborn Prerelease, where we saw record turn-outs to play the brand new sealed and draft formats offered by this final set in the Alara Block. This week we officially unveil the new set to our Saturday Draft Night using the new ACR (Alara, Conflux, Reborn) draft format. It is a beaut’ to play, and we’ve got some awesome promo cards to hand out to drafters of the evening, so it should be a great time. Entry to the event is the normal $12, and all participants receive an exclusive Alara Reborn Release Celebration promo card.

New Alara Reborn and updated Shards of Alara inventory has arrived, plus new Yu-Gi-Oh! Raging Battle booster packs will be available for sale during the Sneak Preview event.
